The Seventh Most Important Thing by Shelley Pearsall was a tear jerker so if you’re in the mood for a good cry this is the read for you. The theme of Divine Synchronicity shows up again and again as Arthur Owens experiences loss, delinquency, friendship and purpose.
These topics couldn’t have been introduced in a better way then Pearsall does in The Seventh Most Important Thing. She has a way of telling the story so that the reader relates to Arthur.
I would recommend this read for middle grades to read independently but if they do they are going to need to discuss some of the topics with an adult. This would also make a great read aloud for middle grade students.
